A number of HUNT studies have been published in high impact journals and both data and biological material have been used in international collaborative projects. About 1200 peer-reviewed scientific papers and 150 PhDs are based on the data from HUNT, covering a wide range of scientific disciplines and disease areas.
Pertaining the population based nature of the HUNT study the research is broad, ranging from genetic epidemiology to social sciences and covers health and disease as it appears in the general Norwegian population.
